Communications Team ~*~ manages all internal and external communication of the organization to the congregation and to the outside world. Worship & Planning Arts ~*~ works with the pastor and worship arts leader to equip and shepherd musicians to guide and support the worship planning process. Worship ~*~leads a thoroughly blended worship service, and grows the music ministry at McKendree UMC. Restoration Pointe ~*~ shares God's love in Nashville by caring for the homeless and displaced, while disrupting cycles of poverty. 5 & 2 Meal Team ~*~ preps and serves meals for displaced men and women who come in to eat a meal together, then cleaning up the kitchen and serving area. Clothing ReStore ~*~greets our neighbors as they enter and assists them as they choose items of clothing; also sorts, folds and puts away clothing during the week. Foundry Team ~*~supports men in this temporary shelter that was created to be a transforming residential Christian environment for men who are restoring their lives. Altar Guild - works to beautify and care for the sanctuary/altar areas as well as caring for the vestments, vessels, and altar linens of the parish. Congregational Life Team ~*~ helps individuals find opportunities to use their gifts in meaningful ways & provides nurturing and fellowship for all members. Hospitality Team ~*~ helps our congregation and guests feel and experience the love of God by truly welcoming them into God’s house through a gracious service. Cultural Awareness Team ~*~ develops understanding of different cultures to foster sensitive and effective communication with members of differing cultural groups. Equip Team ~*~ recruits, develops, mobilizes & supports the process of personally connecting with individuals for the purpose of integrating people into church-life. Adult Team ~*~offers religious studies and workshops for adults from time to time. Children & Youth Team ~*~ provides a strong base of religious exploration to nurture and support the diverse religious journeys of our children and youth . Jones Paideia Magnet Team ~*~supports our neighborhood school through tutoring, chess club, in-kind donations and teacher encouragement. Evangelism,Mission,Social Justice Team ~*~ uses a holistic gospel of freedom in Christ's name to restore the dignity lost through the corruption of sin. Feast Fellowship Team ~*~offers something different from the traditional church setting through feasting around the table and sharing the teachings of Jesus. The Encounter@Metro Team ~*~builds intentional communities of hope through a multi-racial, multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, multi-generational and multi-class movement of faith. Rose Park Mentoring Team is on hold during the pandemic. United Methodist Women works as an intergenerational, multiracial community of almost one million women who raise money for the rights and needs of women, children and youth everywhere.
