The McKendree Parking Center Garage is located at 140 6th Avenue North, between Church and Commerce Streets. It is the parking garage on the left. The garage entrance to the church is located on the 4th floor, just beside the garage elevator. The 4th floor is purple and has an image of Nashville’s legendary Johnny Cash.
Our parking garage is leased to and run by Premier Parking/Metropolis, which offers a fully automated parking system. This system uses cameras to record your car license tag coming in and going out. It calculates the amount of time your car was in the garage.
For general parking, you must scan the QR code, which is posted on numerous signs in the garage, and follow the prompts to set up an account with the garage through your debit/credit card. Leaving without making a payment can result in a ticket, fines and possible legal problems.
We have special arrangements for our McKendree congregation for Sundays morning worship. If you enter the garage before 10:30am, there is no charge for parking and no need to set up an account.
If you are coming to the church any other day, please contact the church office to have your parking validated.
This system can be confusing. Please feel free to contact the church office at 615-271-2600 or mckendreeinfo@gmail.com if you have any questions.
You are also welcome to walk and use our front entrance, located at 523 Church Street! Many downtown residents utilize this option.

NO DRESS CODE
At McKendree we believe that God doesn’t care what you are wearing or if you can afford Sunday clothes. You will see everything from people in their Sunday best to jeans and sneakers to people wearing the only clothes they have.
IF YOU HAVE A CHILD
You are welcome to bring your children. We believe that children aren’t the future of our church, they are the NOW! Our Nursery is not open at this time, however, we welcome children of any age to be in the sanctuary withe their parents. Older children remain in the sancturay for the first part of the service, then dismiss to meet for our children’s church.

DURING EACH SERVICE
We welcome our first time guests. We won’t put you on the spot, ask you to stand or call you up front. We will welcome you! We also will ask you to fill out a connection card.
COMMUNION Holy Communion is offered as part of every Sunday service. It is also offered on Zoom each Sunday at 11:30am. Calll 615-271-2600 for invite or subscribe to weekly updates.
Holy Communion is offered as part of our Sunday service and also on zoom each Sunday. every Sunday at McKendree. Part of our Wesleyan tradition as Christians is to participate in constant communion and not just frequent communion. Constant communion is a journey toward conversion, holiness and sanctification. One of the main reasons for Holy Communion is as a reminder of the invitation of Christ’s love for all people. We invite people to an “Open Table” signifying that the Lord’s Table is a place for all people to participate in a sacramental (simple) and disciplined life where we gather, offer, share and extend ourselves. The Lord’s Table is a place where repentance and reconciliation are expected. For us, the Lord’s Supper is a means of grace; one of the ways God saves us from sin and strengthens us for discipleship.
AS YOU ENTER THE SANCTUARY
Greeters and Ushers are available to assist you if you have any questions or special needs regarding seating or other general questions. Should a special need arise during the service, please do not hesitate to contact any member of the hospitality committee.
AFTER THE SERVICE
You are invited to meet the pastor and other McKendree worshipers in the hall at the back of the Sanctuary.
