A Christmas Letter

Titus 2:11-14,  Common English Bible

This is a season for people receiving tons of cards and letters from family and friends.  While the cards are beautiful, it is the letter within the card that is worth the read.  These thought-engaging letters offer insight: a year-end review and we get a glance into the lives of these persons and families since last Christmas.

Paul’s letter to Titus is the culmination of the unfolding plan of salvation.  As we await the already, the coming of Christ again, we wait actively living a life of moderate sensibility, just and upright and godly.  We live in the now surrounded by hope and expectation.

On this Christmas Day, Paul desires that the people gathered then and us gathered now understand they Jesus represents…

God’s Grace Now!
“The grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people.”   Titus 2:11

God’s Glory Later!
“At the same time we wait for the blessed hope and the glorious appearance of our great God and savior Jesus Christ.”   Titus 2:13

Hear the W.O.W., the Words of Wisdom
“Salvation is God’s rescue plan!”
