An Encore Appearance!

John 20:19-31, Common English Bible

Everyone knows someone who is a straight shooter.  These folk cut through the chase and speak their mind.  Thomas, in this narrative, is the guy who represents people who dislike missing the moment.

The moment is when God reveals some truth and we miss it for a variety of reasons.  We are not told why Thomas is missing the moment with Jesus, but he does.  And now he is demanding an encore appearance with evidence!

Where in your life are you missing Jesus?  How do you speak to God about an encore appearance?

Jesus in every moment offers an invitation to live a life of …

Peace of Mind!
It was still the first day of the week.  That evening, while the disciples were behind closed doors because they were afraid of the Jewish authorities, Jesus came and stood among them.  He said, “Peace be with you.”   John 20:19

Forgiveness of the Heart!
“If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven; if you don’t forgive them, they aren’t forgiven.”   John 20:23

Belief to go and share!
After eight days his disciples were again in a house and Thomas was with them.  Even though the doors were locked, Jesus entered and stood among them.  He said, “Peace be with you.”  Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here.  Look at my hands.  Put your hand into my side.  No more disbelief.  Believe!”   John 20:26-27

Hear the W.O.W., the Words of Wisdom,
“Belief opens our eyes to Jesus!”
