Greetings Holy, Healthy and Happy People of God,
As I write this eNote to our faithful and devoted community of radical and contextually conscious followers of Jesus Christ, I am extremely thankful for our congregation’s commitment to loving God and loving neighbor!
Remember as a child you heard these words after receiving a gift or something tangible, “Now what do you say?” Most of us remember the response, “Thank You!” Being reminded of our thankfulness still happens to all of us. As we celebrate Thanksgiving around a variety of different tables throughout the world, let’s be reminded of those who are not as fortunate as we are in America. Sitting around the tables will allow us to listen, to speak, to pause and to be forever thankful for our identify in Jesus Christ!
Paul, the Apostle, wrote this prayer of thanksgiving to the church in Philippi, “I thank my God every time I mention you in my prayers. I’m thankful for all of you every time I pray, and it’s always a prayer full of joy. I’m glad because of the way you have been my partners in the ministry of the gospel from the time you first believed it until now.” Philippians 1:3-5 Common English Bible (CEB) These words are still appropriate today!
It takes humility to say “Thank You!” Every day that God grants us another day let us remember that Christ lived, died, and was resurrected so that we can simply say “thank you” and share the love and grace of Christ with others. What are you thankful for today?
Hear the W.O.W., the Words of Wisdom,
“Live a life of thankfulness before the LORD and others!”
Remember to pray The Lord’s Prayer every day at 12 Noon!
As always, remember, God’s will for us is good, we must do the rest!
Pastor Stephen
