McKENDREE MINISTRIES!
SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICES are regularly at 9am and 11am. (On Fifth Sundays we have one combined worship service at 10am.) Our sermon series is “Intentional Disruption!” This series calls us to pay close attention to God’s intentional disruption in our life. In the book of Acts, the Holy Spirit is a disruptive force for the advancement of God’s Kingdom. So let’s not fight disruption but rather join God in the journey of renewal. Disruption helps us change by testing us so that we gather in communion before God and with neighbor. Disruption strengthens our faith and faith is the only way to please God. What in your life needs disrupting?
ANNUAL CONFERENCE begins this Sunday, June 11 and will go through Tuesday, June 13. The sessions will be at Brentwood UMC. Please be in prayer for our leaders during this time.
ENCOUNTER MINISTRIES The Encounter@Edgehill and The Encounter@Metrocenter are taking a break from meeting in the month of June. The design teams for these satellite outposts of McKendree’s ministry to the neighborhoods of Nashville are meeting for a time of reflection on progress so far and visioning toward a re-launch with some innovations in the structure and schedule.

PRAYER WALL We now have a prayer wall on the table at the back of the church. You may take a tag (in a box on the table), write out your prayer need, and tie it onto a nail in the wall. On Tuesdays and Thursdays the Lead Team and Prayer Team will pray over all the concerns submitted. We welcome people from our congregation to submit concerns and to read and pray over the concerns of our church body.
WORDS OF THANKS It is hard to know where to begin, but I would like to express my deepest appreciation to everyone in the McKendree community. Thank you for loving me and my family and for opening up your hearts and lives to us. We have not taken your kindness and generosity for granted, instead, we have thanked God and wondered how we have been so fortunate to live life with you!
Through eighteen years of serving this community, God has developed in me a great love for His Body, His Word, and His mission. You all have helped in this process. Please do not ever doubt how much I love you!
Thank you Lord!
