Greetings Holy, Healthy and Happy People of God,

As I write this eNote to our faithful and devoted community of radical and responsible followers of Jesus Christ, I recently attended a fundraiser for Southern Word, a group that works with youth to help them express themselves through spoken words.  As we gathered, one of the presenters talked about a time when he made a choice not to go with his friend somewhere, only to find out later that his friend has been shot to death.  He used emotional and convicting words to help him process his pain of losing his best friend.  And he concluded by suggesting that the Spoken Word process offered by Southern Word saved his life.

His story intentionally disrupted my thoughts.  Then I drifted to the Scripture where John writes “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1  Jesus is the WORD in flesh.  He is the embodiment of God’s perfection and promise to us for salvation.

Words have power and purpose.  Words can clarify and convict.  God’s WORD is a source of healing and renewal for all of us.  So what words bring you hope and what words will you offer others?

Hear the W.O.W., the Words of Wisdom,
“Go and spread words of hope today!”

As always, remember, God’s will for us is good, we must do the rest!
