Proverbs 3:1-12, Common English Bible
As you enter into the New Year, what path will you take? Lewis and Clark, the great explorers, discovered the western portion of United States of America. However, the path they took was completely differently than the path they had planned. Eventually Lewis and Clark would need to adapt to the new path of uncharted territory. This path was filled with challenges and also celebrations, but it wasn’t the path they had outlined for themselves. Both Lewis and Clark needed to trust each other! Who will you trust enough to include in your life plan for 2018?
Solomon, the wisest person in the eyes of God, is offering some advice to his son that is worth hearing. Instead of this year focusing and writing down another list of resolutions, what if we simply focused on a few priorities? Let’s try trusting more this year! How does this happen?
Read God’s instructions daily!
“My son, don’t forget my instruction. Let your heart guard my commands, because they will help you live a long time and provide you with well-being.” Proverbs 3:1-2
Trust God first and always!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; don’t rely on your own intelligence.” Proverbs 3:5
Acknowledge God along the path!
“Know him in all your paths, and he will keep your ways straight.” Proverbs 3:6
